JOHOR BARU - Johoreans have taken to social media sites to send their get-well wishes to the Tunku Laksamana of Johor who underwent treatment at a specialist hospital in China recently.

Hundreds of netizens put up their well wishes on Facebook and Instagram to cheer up Tunku Abdul Jalil, who is the third son of Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar.

Tunku Abdul Jalil's Facebook page and Instagram account carried messages from the public since news broke out about his treatment in Guangzhou.

On Saturday, it was reported that the 23-year-old prince was in stable condition after receiving medical treatment in Guangzhou, South China.

Teacher Lau Ang Lee from Muar wished the prince a speedy recovery, saying that the people of Johor loved him.

Tuziah Sulaiman prayed for the prince's quick return to Malaysia in good health.

"I am grateful that Tunku Abdul Jalil is stable after the operation in China and hope he will be strong and patient for the recuperation process," she posted.

The prince is known for his hand in organising charitable programmes for the underprivileged in Johor and other parts of the country.

Johor Royal Council president Datuk Abdul Rahim Ramli said Tunku Abdul Jalil was recuperating in hospital and would return to Johor for post-medical care when the time was suitable.

He also said Sultan Ibrahim and the entire royal family were grateful to Johoreans and all who had prayed for the well-being of Tunku Jalil.
