SERDANG - The man involved in a road rage incident in Taman Bukit Serdang here has been detained.

The incident was captured on camera, and footage of it went viral on social media.

Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Ismadi Borhan said the suspect, in his 30s, was picked up by police in Balakong on Thursday (May 30) and will be remanded soon.

"The suspect works as a factory store assistant.

"We also seized the motorcycle and helmet used in the incident," he said.

On May 28, a 22-year-old woman was driving along Jalan Kasturi at about 5.30pm when two motorcyclists suddenly stopped in front of her vehicle.

One of the motorcyclists then got off his vehicle and used a helmet to hit the windscreen of the victim's vehicle and laid blame on the victim for the incident.

ACP Ismadi had said the attack left a huge crack on the windscreen.

"We believe the man became enraged when the victim honked at him for suddenly stopping along the road," he said.
