PUTRAJAYA - Plainclothes police officers have left after a raid on a house in Precinct 10, believed to be in connection with the investigation on 1MDB.
The officers, from the Bukit Aman Commercial Crime department, were at the house since 1pm on Monday (June 11). The raiding team left at 3.10pm, with about five police officers left behind to guard the house.
Several boxes were removed from the house and put into a white van that bore no police credentials.
However, the contents of the boxes could not be ascertained.
The house is only 200m from Seri Perdana, the prime minister's official residence, and belongs to the property management division of the Prime Minister's Department.
Online news site Malaysiakini described the property as a purported "safe house" linked to former prime minister Najib Razak.
Several properties linked to Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his family have been raided in recent weeks in connection with the 1MDB probe.
