GEORGE TOWN - The manhunt for a suspected drug pusher and killer continues after his 23-year-old accomplice was picked up.

OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Omar said police had been searching for the two since Saturday after a man was allegedly assaulted by them with helmets in Kampung Melayu, Air Itam, on Friday.

The victim, Lim Kok Boon died three days after the attack.

He said the 38-year-old drug pusher was still at large while his accomplice was arrested at his rented house at 10.10pm on Monday.

The suspect was brought to court yesterday and remanded for a week pending investigations.

Lim, 33, a wallpaper shop worker, succumbed to head injuries at about 10am on Monday.

It was reported earlier that two men were packing drugs in the 14th floor rubbish room when Lim walked in on them on Friday.

The men quickly threw away the drugs as they thought Lim was a policeman. They started to attack Lim when they saw that he was someone they knew.

Police are investigating the case as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
