Man held for alleged sex with daughter

He has allegedly been having sex with his daughter for the last three years.

The trysts were said to have taken place in their home in Kajang in the Malaysian state of Selangor, when his wife was away.

The alleged affair would probably have continued, if not for an alert uncle who runs the hair salon where the 21-year-old woman has been working since completing the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia, similar to the O levels.

The Star quoted a police source as saying that the uncle had borrowed the woman's mobile phone early this month to make a call. That is when he reportedly came upon "steamy" text messages from the father to the daughter.

The uncle was so shocked that he immediately questioned her. After sustained questioning, she said she has been having sex with the father since she was 18. The father runs a food stall in Kajang.

'WILLING PARTNER'

Said the source: "She also revealed she was a willing partner and was in love with him."

The uncle took the woman back to her home and confronted the father in the presence of her mother. The man sat silently while the wife was deeply distraught.

The source added that the daughter was initially reluctant to lodge a police report.

But the uncle took her to the Kajang police station because he was worried that the same fate would befall her nine-year-old sister.

The man has been remanded until Nov 26 to facilitate investigations for incest.

The offence carries a jail sentence of between six and 20 years, and whipping.

The woman has been sent to Kajang Hospital for a medical check-up.
