PETALING JAYA - Malaysian Cabinet ministers took to Twitter yesterday following US President Barack Obama's visit, sharing photos and anecdotes.

Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, the minister in attendance, posted several pictures from his Twitter account, @khairykj, including a widely-shared photo of Obama "staring down" some durian.

"Meanwhile at the working lunch today, the most powerful man in the world stares down the King of Fruits," he said.

Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein replied to Khairy, joking "Durian. No-oh he knows his food."

Later he added that Obama "knew durian too well - confirm no chance (of him eating it)".

He also responded to praise from Obama regarding the MH370 incident.

Khairy tweeted that Obama had praised Hishammuddin for doing a good job, to which Hishammuddin tweeted back "important for next phase which is more challenging".

Hishammuddin posted details regarding the official luncheon in Sri Perdana, where the president dined on nasi goreng, udang galah, ikan patin and sambal belacan.

"Not so keen on the sambal we served him," he said.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak also sent tweets - including a selfie with Obama.

Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan reminisced about his time in the United States,

"Eight years in USA in the 80s, you can't miss President Ronald Reagan, Madonna, Michael Jackson, American football and baseball. I still am a big fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the Giants."

Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi tweeted a photo of himself with Obama.
