PETALING JAYA - Sources reveal that former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will be charged with criminal breach of trust.
The offence is defined under Section 409 of the Penal Code, which reads:
409. Whoever, being in any manner entrusted with property, or with any dominion over property, in his capacity of a public servant or an agent, commits criminal breach of trust in respect of that property, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than two years and not more than twenty years and with whipping, and shall also be liable to fine.
The MACC has announced that he will be charged at the Kuala Lumpur Courts Complex on Wednesday morning, following his arrest at his residence at Jalan Langgak Duta, Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday (July 3)
The MACC, however, did not specify the charges he will face, but it is learnt it is in relation to investigations into SRC International.
