Penang haze situation improved

GEORGE TOWN - The haze situation is improving across the state today following a downpour yesterday evening.
The Air Pollutant Index (API) readings remain in the moderate levels and have been dropping since 6am.
As at 9am. the API readings in Seberang Jaya, Prai and Penang were 76, 66 and 74 respectively.
Meanwhile, a state Meteorological Department spokesman said it had forecasted isolated rain in the afternoon and cloudy skies in the evening
He said the visibility was about six kilometres.
