Petronas stations in Malaysia to give away free coffee for CNY

PETALING JAYA - For the 17th year, Petronas Dagangan Berhad will be giving away freshly brewed coffee at 142 of its stations during the Chinese New Year season.

Its managing director and chief executive officer Mohd Ibrahimnuddin Mohd Yunus said the Petronas Coffee Break campaign would involve more outlets this year.

"Last year, we only had 40 stations.

"This year, we will be serving free coffee and snacks at 142 stations nationwide," he said during a visit to Menara Star.

A total of 880,000 cups of coffee will be given away on Feb 6 and 7 as well as on Feb 13 and 14 - from 2pm until stocks last.

Reinforcing their commitment to road safety, Petronas will also be partnering with Proton to provide a free car inspection service and contributing RM20,000 (S$6,780) worth of fuel to St John Ambulance.

The Petronas Coffee Break campaign is held in collaboration with Petronas Lubri­cants Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Proton Holdings Berhad, SJAM, Nestle (Malaysia) Berhad, Munchworld Marketing Sdn Bhd and Oriental Food Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.
