Pray for well-being of Johor, says Sultan

JOHOR BARU - Johor's Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar wants the new state leadership to work together and double their efforts to help the people.

He said that the new leadership should look into the welfare of Johoreans.

"I hope all quarters will give their full co-operation to ensure the administration runs smoothly," he said on his official Facebook page here.

Sultan Ibrahim hoped that with the appointment of the new mentri besar and state executive councillors, any misunderstanding or disputes between the state and federal government would be set aside.

He also asked the people to pray for the well-being and development of the state.

Bukit Kepong assemblyman Datuk Dr Sahruddin Jamal was appointed as Johor Mentri Besar following the resignation of Datuk Osman Sapian on April 8.

Earlier this week, 10 state executive councillors were sworn in, comprising four from DAP, as well as two each from PKR, Parti Amanah Negara and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia.

There were three new faces and some of the excos had their portfolios changed.
