KUALA LUMPUR - Protestors are slowly making their way into the city for today's Bersih 4 rally.

Although the rally is only due to begin at 2pm, several groups of protestors were spotted trickling in to their designated meeting spots from as early as 10am.

Some were seen wearing yellow Bersih 4 shirts while others were spotted wearing yellow under jackets.

In Bangsar and Petaling Jaya, small numbers of people dressed in yellow were seen taking public transport towards the city centre.

Larger groups were seen gathering at Central Market, Masjid Jamek, Brickfields, Dataran Maybank and Sogo.

The group in Menara Maybank were heard chanting "Bersih, bersih" while those in Central Market were marching with a Bersih 4 banner.

The rally will start at 2pm in various locations throughout the city. The crowds will then March towards Dataran Merdeka or as near to it as possible without disturbing the Merdeka Day parade rehearsal.

The overnight rally will continue until 11.59pm on Sunday.

It has been declared illegal by the police but organisers have declared that the rally will continue.

On Friday night, the Home Ministry banned yellow attire bearing the words "Bersih 4" and all other rally-related materials.
