KUALA LUMPUR - Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has claimed trial at the Sessions Court here to two counts of corruption under Section 16 (a)(A) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009.
She was charged with soliciting RM187.5 million through her former aide Datuk Rizal Mansor and receiving RM1.5 million (S$493,287) in bribe relating to the RM1.25 billion solar hybrid project for rural schools in Sarawak.
Sessions Court judge Azman Ahmad allowed bail at RM1 million in one surety on Thursday (Nov 15).
The court also allowed Rosmah, the wife of former premier Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, to pay bail in two instalments with RM500,000 to be paid today and the balance to be paid in seven days.
On Oct 4, Rosmah was charged with 17 counts of money laundering involving RM7 million.
