KUALA LUMPUR: Security is tight at the Lim family residence in Taman Duta as preparations are being made for Puan Sri Lee Kim Hua's (pic) wake.

Lee, widow of the late Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong, passed away yesterday morning.

Auxiliary policemen from Genting Highlands had shuttled down as early as 7am to provide security and vet visitors.

Kitchen staff from the resort were also seen transporting food to the Taman Duta residence as well.

Most visitors were gently, but firmly turned away by the auxiliary police, including a number of florists' vans bearing funeral wreaths.

The latter were asked to return at 6pm.

A large area for parking has been provided at the turn-off from Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim to Jalan Taman Duta for visitors.

From there, shuttle vans have been allocated to ferry visitors to the wake.

The wake will be held at the family’s residence at Taman Duta, Kuala Lumpur, today at 6pm and will end on Monday at 11pm.

Goh Tong was the founder of the multi-billion-ringgit Genting Group.
