KLANG - The future political scenario in Selangor will be the main topic of discussion when the state DAP meets with Mentri Besar Azmin Ali next week, a meeting which PAS was not invited to attend, said Datuk Teng Chang Khim (pic).
The Selangor DAP vice-president said the meeting would be attended by both state DAP and PKR leaders.
Asked if PAS was invited to the meeting, he said they were not.
"They have already severed ties with DAP, so how to discuss?" he asked.
Teng, who earlier likened the DAP-PAS feud as 'cerai talak tiga' (an irrevocable declaration of divorce) said the state administration would carry on as normal until a further decision was made, as it was their responsibility to govern the state.
"Divorce is a termination of marriage, not friendship. (We) can still be friends although divorced," he said.
Asked if it was likely DAP and PKR would form a "new Pakatan 2.0" as mentioned by Seputeh MP Teresa Kok on her Facebook page, Teng said that former Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had issued a clear statement on that.
"I think Anwar has made his statement very clear. So we will proceed from there," he said.
Anwar had on June 23 issued a statement that the Opposition was now working to forge a stronger and enduring partnership, to better serve the rakyat.
He further said that he had no doubt that the Opposition, reorganised with new forces including NGOs, would emerge united and stronger.
