Selfie time! Malaysian PM Najib adds Jack Ma to collection of snaps

E-commerce giant Alibaba's founder and executive chairman, Jack Ma, has had a busy trip to Malaysia recently. He helped launch Malaysia's Digital Free Trade Zone, spoke at the Global Transformation Forum, and, of course, shared a we-fie with the Prime Minister Najib Razak.

Mr Ma's is just the latest in Mr Najib's growing collection of snaps taken with world leaders and public figures.

According to Sin Chew Daily, Mr Najib never forgets to take selfies whenever he meets with high-profile guests, before sharing them on his social media platforms.

Most of the comments from his followers about his selfie with Mr Ma have been positive. However, some users couldn't resist throwing a little shade at the Malaysian leader's selfie skills.

Wrote one user: "Dato Seri [Najib] still needs to learn more about how to take selfies. The way you hold the phone is not neat, the angle isn't nice and the picture was not edited at all, so your face looks oily."

Other than Mr Ma, Mr Najib has also recently shared camera space with Jamaica's multiple-time Olympic sprint champion Usain Bolt, as well as Virgin Group founder Richard Branson.

He also took one with Saudi Arabia's King Salman, when the latter visited Malaysia as part of his tour of Asia last month.

Other wefies that Mr Najib has in his album include photos with Indonesian president Joko Widodo and former US president Barack Obama.

But of course, Mr Najib's most famous wefie probably remains the one he took with Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the 2013 Commonwealth leaders' meeting in Sri Lanka.

That photo, posted on Mr Lee's Facebook page on Nov 15, 2013, garnered over 11,000 likes and was shared over 1,000 times.
