PETALING JAYA - Several Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flights to and from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) were diverted and rescheduled due to severe weather conditions.
The national carrier said in a statement on Monday that it was closely monitoring the situation and would adjust its flight operations into and out of KLIA.
"The flight diversions were necessary as a safety precaution," MAS said.
Netizens posted online that their flights were diverted to other airports due to bad weather conditions.

Another user, Naimifairis said that she had been waiting for about an hour at Subang Airport and was waiting for clearance for the plane to land at KLIA.
"Landed at Subang Airport because our plane couldn't land at KLIA due to bad weather and now we're refuelling the aircraft," she said.
It is learnt that the flights were also diverted to the Senai International Airport in Johor Baru and Penang International Airport.
