Singaporeans are not targeted by criminal in Johor: Police chief

NUSAJAYA - Singaporeans are not targeted by criminal in Johor as perceived by many.

Johor police chief Datuk Mokhtar Shariff said criminals do not target their victims based on their nationalities, but rather when the opportunity raised.

Based on police's statistics, out of the 17.4million Singaporeans, who made their ways into the country via Johor last years, 0.000022 per cent or 397, were victims had brushes with the criminals.

Mokhtar and Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) hosted Singapore-based media members to a dialogue and security briefing session, which was held at the Traders Hotel, today.
