Sulu princess says she is now being labelled terrorist

PETALING JAYA - Sulu "princess" Jacel H. Kiram Hasan says that "desperate" Malaysians are calling her a terrorist in an attempt to justify their claim on Sabah.

"An attempt to justify land grabbing of Sabah, desperate Malaysians call the angelic, charming, witty and approachable Princess Jacel Kiram a terrorist," Jacel wrote on her Facebook page.

The other text on her post were in Tagalog.

Jacel also copied The Star's article on the possibility of Nurul Izzah Anwar, who is Lembah Pantai MP, losing her parliamentary privileges for alleged disloyalty to the country.

Photos of Nurul Izzah posing with Jacel holding "Release Anwar Immediately" have stirred controversy, with MPs and the public demanding that she explain herself.

Nurul Izzah, who is Anwar's daughter, has since defended her meeting with Jacel, claiming that it was arranged by the Filipino authorities during a PKR delegation visit on Nov 9. But she stressed that the guest list was decided by the hosts.

Jacel is the daughter of self-styled Sulu Sultan Jamalul Kiram III, who ordered the Lahad Datu intrusion in 2013.

The late Jamalul Kiram sent 200 of his 'Royal Sulu Army' to invade Sabah in February 2013 to stake his claim over the state.

A total of 68 Sulu gunmen were reportedly killed while 10 local policemen were killed.
