NILAI, Malaysia - A Form Five student drowned while trying to save a friend whose legs were stuck in the quicksand at a sand mining area in Sungai Ngoi Ngoi, Batu 9 on Monday.

Ahmad Zainuddin Mohd Rosli, 17, died after he became stuck in the quicksand while trying to pull out his friend out in the 2.45pm incident.
