KUALA LUMPUR - Umno youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin will meet the party's top leadership to highlight issues relating to political donations and 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) raised by the grassroots.
Khairy said he would meet party president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, after the Umno supreme council meeting on Sept 9.
He said the views were brought up in the form of motion during the division meetings held recently.
"We want to highlight these issues as it is being discussed not only by the grassroots, but also by the youths outside the party.
"We hope by highlighting this, the leadership can do the necessary to win back confidence to the party," he said at a press conference here after the Youth exco meeting on Monday.
He said so far, 182 youth divisions have had its meetings, and nine more divisions would be done with their meetings by this weekend.
Khairy also assured that the views from the Youth's division meetings would not be "filtered" and it would be presented in the form of motions to the leadership.
