PETALING JAYA - Wendy's Malaysia is believed to be closing down its operations nationwide, as speculation is rife that the local franchise holder did not renew its agreement with the franchisor.
Wendy's Malaysia is operated by Berjaya Group subsidiary, Berjaya Burger Sdn Bhd.
On Twitter, Twt Bajet said Wendy's Malaysia was closing because Berjaya Group had decided not to renew its franchise licence.
User Radikal Bebas said that the outlet at Paradigm Johor Baru recently shut its doors.
Paprikash also posted a photo on the last day of operations at the outlet in Berjaya Times Square on March 31.
Checks by The Star found that the outlet at The Gardens Mid Valley had also shut down, indicating that the rumours might be true.
Berjaya Group, however, declined to comment when contacted on Monday (April 1).
