Woman and two teen nieces taken on terror ride

KOTA KINABALU - A woman and her two nieces had the shock of their lives when two men jumped into their car and drove it away.

Luckily, the woman in her 20s and the two teenagers were not hurt during the incident on Sunday.

The woman's boyfriend had left them in the car outside a supermarket here around 9.30pm when the men came. One got into the driver's seat and the other the back seat.

The car doors were not locked at the time.

It is believed that the boyfriend, who saw the car being driven off, tried to chase after the vehicle before losing sight of it.

The men drove the terrified passenĀgers until Inanam about 8km away before forcing them out of the car.

Passers-by helped the victims, who then lodged a police report.

Kota Kinabalu deputy police chief Supt M. Chandra confirmed the incident, saying the case was still under investigation.
