SINGAPORE - To facilitate relief efforts to typhoon-stricken Philippines, Maybank Singapore is refunding service fees for those who wish to send money back to the country.

Transactions that qualify for this refund include online funds transfer to the Philippines as well as payments to Philippines-issued Visa or Mastercard credit cards via Maybank online banking, from today till Nov 17.

Ms Corrinne Tan, Head, Corporate Affairs, said, "The devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan is deeply saddening and we wish to do our part to help as well. There is, after all, a large Filipino community in Singapore who may wish to help their countrymen, and we hope that this small gesture will help them with relief efforts during this calamity." Ms Tan said.

Service fees will be refunded from today till Sunday, Nov 17.  Customers can visit www.maybank2u.com.sg for more information.
