McDonald's introduces new breaded salmon burger

McDonald's Singapore has launched a new burger starring breaded salmon, the first of several new offerings the fast food chain here plans to release over the next few months.

Available for a limited time only, the Breaded Salmon with Paella Spice Mix burger features a patty made from wild Hokkaido salmon chunks, and flavoured with diced red and yellow capsicums and diced cheese. A salad mix of hydroponically grown baby leaves sits above the patty, sandwiched between buns topped with oat flakes, linseeds, rye flakes and sunflower seeds.

"Singapore tastes and preferences are fast evolving. Our customers have told us they want a greater variety of taste, textures and flavours, and we make it our mission to listen and offer them what they want," McDonald's Singapore's managing director Robert Hunghanfoo said in a statement on Thursday (Feb 18).

He added that over the next few months, customers can expect to see new items inspired by insights McDonald's Singapore gained from public feedback, focus group discussions, and market research.

McDonald's Singapore will also start the sale of its new toy collection - Food Icons X nanoblocks - from Feb 29. Apart from the McCafe Cup, which will be made available for purchase throughout the period at McCafe outlets, a new design from the series will be released every Monday until April 3.
