Michelin-quality food for KLM's World Business Class passengers

Passengers flying out of Amsterdam on KLM Royal Dutch Airlines' World Business Class can now get a taste of Michelin-quality food.

Dutch chef Jacob Jan Boerma, who co-owns three-starred restaurant De Leest in Vaassen, Netherlands, has come up with four menus for these passengers in a year-long collaboration with KLM that began yesterday (Oct 25).

"It is a fantastic challenge to work with KLM, one of the greatest airlines in the world! I am very much looking forward to welcoming you to personally experience the menus at high altitude. The meals have been carefully compiled with KLM. I hope I can treat you to a culinary surprise!" Boerma said in a statement on Oct 20.

The 43-year-old is the latest top Dutch chef to collaborate with KLM for its World Business Class meals. He joins names such as Cees Helder, Margot Janse, and Sergio Herman.

"KLM's World Business Class passengers have always appreciated the meals designed by our top chefs and I fully expect Jacob Jan's menus to delight our customers,"KLM's executive vice-president of inflight services Miriam Kartman said.
