Movenpick opens new hotel

Swiss hospitality group Movenpick Hotels & Resorts has announced its new management deal for the first integrated destination resort in Vietnam.

The 52-ha Movenpick Resort Phu Quoc, which will open on the southern Vietnamese island next year, will have 250 hotel rooms, 100 residences and 50 luxury pool villas facing the Gulf of Thailand.

It will have a themed retail village, water park, lagoon- style pool, destination spa, 1,000 sq m convention area, amphitheatre, cooking school, beach club, kids club, water sports centre, fitness centre, and an adventure and teambuilding activity course.

The resort will also offer a hotel school with staff accommodation.
