That $100 million penthouse isn't most expensive in Singapore - this one is

It is no surprise that property prices in Singapore are notoriously high, but a new super penthouse by Wallich Residence just set a new bar. Its asking price? A cool S$108 million.

But that apartment is not the most expensive here. According to The Business Times, there is another luxury apartment that has an indicative price of S$128 million. Developed by SC Global Developments, the 17,500 sq ft penthouse at The Marq on Paterson Hill.

Besides Wallich Residence and The Marq, there are also other similarly or even more expensive penthouses in Singapore.

  • Guocoland's Wallich Residence has a private pool, pool deck area, cabana, a jacuzzi room and an entertainment area.
  • It will also have a cantilevered balcony with panoramic views including of the CBD, Marina Bay and Sentosa.
  • SC Global Development's super penthouse in the Signature Tower of The Marq has an indicative price of S$128 million. However, the developer said that it is not for sale.
  • The 17,500 sq feet unit's has a private pool and a barbecue pit amongst other facilities.
  • The unit also has a 'secret' den with an entrance concealed by a rotating cabinet and five bedrooms.
  • While Wallich Residence commands the highest selling price of date, in terms of per square feet (psf) of strata area, the most expensive unit is the four-room apartment on the 20th storey of the Premiere tower of The Marq.
  • The 3,003 sq ft unit went for S$6,840 psf in 2011.
  • The previous record holder for most expensive penthouse transaction goes to Alibaba co-founder Sun Tongyu's purchase of the sole penthouse at Wing Tai's Le Nouvre Aldmore in 2015.
  • The 13,573 sq ft unit spans the top two levels of the 33-storey freehold project.
  • It has five bedrooms, with a family area and a study area on level 32.
  • It also has a private pool, private foyers, roof terrace, a gym, and an entertainment area on level 33.
