Camera review: Canon PowerShot G16

Camera review: Canon PowerShot G16

Price and availability to be confirmed

For advanced shutterbugs looking for a compact camera with great handling, the Canon PowerShot G16 fits the bill.

It uses a 1/1.7-inch 12.1-megapixel CMOS image sensor and Canon's Digic 6 image processor to deliver great image quality. In addition, the G16 features a 5x optical zoom lens (28-140mm in 35mm equivalent) with a maximum aperture of f/1.8 at 28mm and f/2.8 at 140mm. Thus, you can keep your aperture big for dramatic shallow depth-of-field shots.

The G16 is also the first PowerShot G-series camera to be equipped with built-in Wi-Fi for you to upload pictures to social media or to send to your mobile devices.
