My Love From the Star, is the latest K-drama to take the small screen by storm. Everyone likes a good love story, especially one starring A-listers like the sexy Gianna Jun and of course, the very delectable Kim Soo Hyun.

Kim's no stranger to female adoration. The 26-year-old actor managed to steal hearts away from his K-pop heartthrob co-stars, 2pm's Taecyeon and Wooyoung with his country bumpkin role in Dream High and stole the show as the lead in The Moon that Embraces the Sun.

Plus, you can't turn a corner in Korea without being ambushed by a picture of Kim. The popular actor is the face of everything you could possibly think of - from tech gadgets to fabric softener. He recently graced more than a few magazine spreads decked out in Calvin Klein Jeans and currently stars in the Samsonite Red Spring Summer 2014 campaign with fellow hottie and Hong Kong actress Angela Baby.

So here are the five reasons why we love Kim Soo Hyun.

1. He's not afraid to break out of his comfort zone

While Kim was known as the shy one in high school, he actively sought to change this, by taking part in school plays. Eventually, he signed up to major in Theatre and Film Studies at university, and the rest as we know is history. A guy who's not afraid to change himself is certainly a breath of fresh air from those stubborn men we know.

2. He's dedicated to his craft

It's always sexy when a man is willing to go to great lengths for his passion. Kim was the only non-idol cast in Dream High. To make sure he was fully prepped for the singing and dancing role, the actor spent three months as a "trainee" at JYP Entertainment - the same record company that manages 2PM and Miss A - putting in the same hours learning singing and dancing as the rest of the trainees.

3. His celeb friends

If you do ever bump into Kim, there's a high chance he will be in the company of an equally good looking and talented posse. He bonded with his Dream High co-stars Taecyeon and Wooyoung and Jung Il Woo from The Moon that Embraces the Sun. Isn't it always a bonus when a hot guy comes with hot friends?

4. He appeals to all ages

All ages of women, we mean. Kim's baby face has won a legion of fans that range from schoolgirls to grannies, although we are sure some will insist it's his immense talent that they have fallen in love with. In the event that you should ever bring him home to meet the parents, he will easily win half the battle by charming all your female relatives.

5. His abs
