Student beaten to death by peers over rumour

KOREA - An 8th grade Korean student was beaten to death by his peers over a rumour and the scene was captured on the apartments CCTV.

According to Koreabang, the student was beaten up after a rumour that claimed he was dating a girl that his attacker liked had made its rounds.

Korean news company SBS reported that the attacker had asked the victim to meet him at an apartment building in Incheon.

The student started beating the victim after he met him. There were a total of 13 students who witnessed the attack and some of them even took part.

A witness also told SBS that the attack was provoked because of the rumour.

CCTV footage also captured a group of student piggybacking the victim to the basement of the building and performing CPR on him after the attack.

Unfortunately they were unable to resuscitate him.

The police have arrested two students for the attack, but the family of the victim has demanded that all the students involved the attack should be punished.
