Angelababy's Lamborghini was a used car, appeared in Transformers movies

HONG KONG - The surprise million-dollar Lamborghini that actor Huang Xiaoming gave his model-actress girlfriend Angela Yeung, better known as Angelababy, has been revealed to be a used car that had a cameo appearance in the Transformers movies.

According to entertainment site Jayne Stars, online reports have surfaced recently that the matte-black Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, which was presented to Angelababy on her birthday, was originally owned by Hong Kong actor Chilam Cheung, who later transferred the car to his manager, Stephen Shiu.

Jayne Stars added that after the transfer of ownership, the Lamborghini was later sold to a car company before being purchased by Angelababy's own private company for HK$2.3 million (S$376,000).

According to the reports online, the car was already registered under Angelababy's name "for some time" before it was gifted to her on her birthday.

The premier sporting car is said to be a used 2009 model, with a 560 horsepower. Online reports also said the Lamborghini even had a cameo appearance in the earlier Transformer movies.

Jayne Stars speculated in their report that the public presentation of the luxury car could be staged.

The couple had reportedly kept their romance low-profile in the four years that they have been dating. They were said to have surprised the media and their fans with their public display of affection on Angelababy's birthday on Feb 28.

The 25-year-old starlet was seen hugging her alleged boyfriend, Huang Xiaoming, after he surprised her with the matte-black luxury car at the Italian restaurant in Hong Kong where she was celebrating her birthday with her girl friends.

The affectionate behaviour officially confirmed their relationship for the first time, said Jayne Stars.
