Backstage pass: Exhibition explores societal issues

This exhibition showcases works by Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts students and alumni as well as an invited artist, Gordon Carlyle, from Australia.

It includes works from Eugene Koh, a Prudential Singapore Young Artist Award finalist, and Muang Nyan Soe, who exhibited at last year's Art Stage Singapore.

Koh's installation, Domestic Violence, explores societal issues, while Muang's Unstable represents the state before Buddha's enlightenment.

The other artists whose works are on show are Himi Fong, Sophia Phua, Zulkhairi Zulkiflee, Lim Cheng Jun, Joey Lim, Oranje Lwin and Terry Wee.

PARTING SHOTS

Parting Shots Of A Wedding Photographer, starring Liu Shun Hong and Tan Weiying, is Kwok Li Ren's first full-length play.

Presented by the Hokkien Huay Kuan Youth Drama Troupe, this play tells the story of a wedding photographer, Guang Hui, who pursues perfection. Meiyu, on the other hand, is unable to forget her imperfect past. When the two meet, they have to overcome their issues to be together.
