SINGAPORE - Singapore clinched a bronze for their first medal at the Asian Youth Bowling Championships in Hong Kong on Wednesday.
The Republic’s pair of Joey Yeo and Ilma Nur Jannah finished third in the girls’ doubles event with a combined total of 2,449 pinfalls over six games.
Malaysia ran away with the gold with 2,644 pinfalls, while South Korea settled for the silver on 2,496 pinfalls. Singapore’s other pair of Kimberly Ooi and Tracy See finished 13th with 2,280 pinfalls.
The championships continue on Thursday with the Team of 4, which will be staged over two blocks of three games.
