Much to horse about at Jurong Point

It might be the Year of the Horse. But beyond its highly rated qualities in the Chinese zodiac, how much do you know about the animal?

If you want to learn more, head to Jurong Point this weekend for the Singapore International Racing Festival (SIRF) roadshow.

There, you can learn about food and gear for horses and jockeys with the Singapore Turf Club's (STC's) mascots - Racer and Clover.

An exhibition will include the history of the Singapore Airlines International Cup (SIA Cup) and KrisFlyer International Sprint. Both races take place on May 18.

There are also fun elements like the Horseshoe Pitching Competition, where the top prize is $2,000.

The Turf Belles will make an appearance in the jockey silks of the past 13 SIA Cup winners. Vote for your favourite one on the STC's Facebook page and you could win iPad Airs, SIRF memorabilia packs and cash prizes. The contest runs till May 12.

Another contest is the "Snap & Win Photography Online Contest", which runs till May 26.

Upload photos related to the SIRF on STC's Facebook page and win cash prizes up to $5,700.

If you use Instagram, you should hashtag the photos #SIACUP2014 to win $100 weekly cash prizes through the STC's Facebook page.
