Etihad Airways introduces new in-flight enhancements

Passengers on Etihad Airways can now enjoy new in-flight products and a better experience on board the carrier's long-haul and ultra-longhaul flights.

The new in-flight products and enhancements will be introduced across its First, Business and Economy classes, with products varying depending on the flight duration.

For the latest upgrade, First Class dining now includes a new contemporary menu design, an enhanced selection of canapés, a pre-dessert course served by the Chef, and a 'Café Gourmand' coffee and tea course accompanied by mini cookies, cakes and pastries.

Cabin dressing has also been refreshed and each suite will include a cushion on the Airbus A380 and Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

The First Class service is also accompanied by a welcome letter from the Cabin Service Manager and a reception service with a welcome drink, hot towel and traditional Arabic dates.

In Business Class, a new turndown service is offered on ultra-longhaul flights, featuring a mattress, cotton loungewear and slippers. A plush comforter and full size pillow are also provided.

Along with a new range of dining ware, an 'All Day' menu is also available on longer flights.

With a focus on more choice and personal space, the airline has refreshed its Economy Class with new cabin interiors, headrest covers, pillowcases and fleece blankets.

For all long-haul flights, a new pillow has been designed to convert from a standard pillow to a neck pillow, providing extra support and improved comfort for passengers.

An amenity kit, which includes a reversible eye-mask with 'Do not disturb' and 'Wake me for Meals' printed on each side, is also available.

In addition, a blanket bag which doubles up as a 'cabin tidy bag' will be placed at each seat in Economy Class. This can also be used as a shoe bag or a bag for storage of personal belongings.
