Myanmar National Airlines launches 1st international flight to Singapore

SINGAPORE - Myanmar National Airlines (MNA) launched its first international route today with a maiden flight to Singapore on UB1.

This is airline's first international route in 22 years. Prior to this, the national flag carrier had been operating domestic flights to 26 destinations within the country.

MNA's new direct service gives travellers here more options when picking their flights to Yangon. Currently, 5 other airlines operate direct services from Singapore to Yangon.

For a start, MNA will fly once daily, 6 times a week to Yangon. It will depart Yangon at 1015h and arrive in Singapore at 1445h. The turnaround service will then depart Singapore at 1600h and arrive in Yangon at 1730h.

The flight is operated on a brand new Boeing 737-800NG aircraft. On board, there are 3 services available: Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy.

To celebrate the launch, MNA is offering launch fares starting at $289 (round-trip) from Singapore and $239 (round-trip) from Yangon respectively.
