No river cruise for wheelchair user

I congratulate the River Safari on its opening ("New ideas the key to tourism success: PM"; last Saturday).

I was keen to try the river cruise but, to my dismay, I was told that wheelchair users are not allowed on the ride for safety reasons.

What if I were to indemnify the company running the ride against accidents? Is the ride so filled with "dangers" that cannot be overcome by safety precautions?

While we try to build an inclusive society for all, I am disappointed that I will not be able to go on the river cruise. The news dampened my excitement.
