The 51-year-old teacher from the My First Skool branch at Block 192 in Toa Payoh Lorong 4 who caused an injury to a child under her care has been dismissed.
In a statement yesterday, NTUC First Campus Co-operative (NFC), which runs the childcare chain, said the teacher acknowledged that her actions were inappropriate and has accepted the dismissal.
The three-year-old boy suffered a leg fracture last Friday. Footage of the incident was caught on closed-circuit-television camera and has gone viral online.
Yesterday morning, the chief executive of NFC and general manager of My First Skool met a group of parents with children in the playgroup class to answer queries and to address their concerns.
Additional parent-engagement sessions are also being planned for the rest of the parents with kids in the class.
