Singapore online fashion network Clozette has partnered Rakuten Ichiba Taiwan to start a fashion portal called OSHa'Re.
Rakuten Ichiba Taiwan is a subsidiary of Japanese e-commerce giant Rakuten.
The new portal aims to reach one million online fashion shoppers in Taiwan and become the leading fashion site in the market in a year.
Clozette chief executive Roger Yuen said: "With online shopping as ubiquitous as it is today, e-commerce has reached a tipping point. Online shoppers are moving beyond the current transactional click-and-buy model to seek a new set of personalised experiences."
Clozette uses a visual fashion search technology called Visenze, which allows shoppers to search and buy similar fashion items that they see in user-generated photos, fashion websites and e-magazines.
Through customised recommendations, merchants on OSHa'Re can engage and sell to fashion enthusiasts.
Visenze was developed locally by researchers from the National University of Singapore.
