My Paper website a hit with readers

SINGAPORE - The revamped My Paper website is a hit.

Readers have hailed the site as friendly and interactive, and are enjoying the fact that they can now get My Paper stories on the go.

The revamped site (www.mypaper.sg) was launched on Monday, and carries stories in full, from both the English and Chinese sections of the bilingual paper.

"I think the overall design is better than the previous one. It is very appealing and makes me want to scroll down to read more," said public-relations executive Aaron Andrew Ang, 21.

Stories are categorised into different sections on the site, just like in the free newspaper. Each story has its own Web address, making it easier to read on computers, smartphones and tablets.

A 42-year-old businessman who wanted to be known only as Jin Y., said that the paper looked "clean and neat" when he read it on his mobile phone. Mr Koh Kiat Hwee, 20, a graphic designer, praised the site's uncluttered design.

To get readers to register on the site, My Paper is offering cool prizes.

With goodies like a two-night cruise aboard the SuperStar Virgo up for grabs, readers have responded enthusiastically. More than 1,700 have signed up so far.

The cruise will take one lucky winner, as well as a companion and two kids, to Malacca, Redang or Kuala Lumpur. The package is worth $2,280.

My Paper is also giving away six Nikon Coolpix cameras and some $2,000 worth of shopping vouchers. Visit the revamped website to register for your chance to win.
