CNB seizes largest heroin haul this year

SINGAPORE - About 3.7kg of heroin with a market value of S$396,000 was seized by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB)on Friday morning. It was the largest haul of heroin seized in a single operation this year.

Three Singaporean men aged 38, 31 and 30 were also arrested at different locations in the eastern and central parts of Singapore. CNB had conducted the operation to target a known Singaporean drug trafficker.

The total haul of drugs seized amount to about 3,770 grammes of heroin, 60 grammes of 'Ice', and 560 Erimin 5 tablets, with a street worth of more than S$409,000.

The last single large seizure was of heroin was 4.9kg on Jan 5 in 2012.
