Laguna stages 36-hole marathon

SINGAPORE - Laguna National Golf and Country Club will stage a 36-hole golf marathon on Aug 7.

The event, open to members and guests, will take place on both the Masters course and the World Classic course, also known as "Asia's Toughest Test".

The Masters course at Laguna National has hosted such famous names as Colin Montgomerie, Nick Dougherty and Thomas Bjorn as well as major tournaments such as the Singapore Masters from 2002 to 2007.

The World Classic is slowly but surely gaining recognition among golfers for its unusual terrain that puts every golfer to the ultimate test.

All participants will receive an attractive door gift of a complimentary flight on either golf course worth up to $2,400.

The event will include breakfast, lunch and dinner at the club as well as on-course snacks.

Other giveaways include a Laguna National trophy and gift pack and Laguna National Golf Marathon Memorabilia. A hole-in-one prize is also up for grabs - a one-year term membership at Laguna National worth $28,000.

Entries close on July 29 at 5pm. For enquiries and registration, contact Girard Guevara at 6248-1798 or email girard.guevara@lagunanational.com.
