Car gets crushed under lorry after accident at Ang Mo Kio

The male driver of the hatchback was trapped in his car and had to be extracted by Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers with heavy appliances.

When contacted, a spokesperson for SCDF said that the accident involving one lorry, 2 cars and a bus occurred on July 6 at the junction of Serangoon North Avenue 6 and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5.

One individual, a Malay man in his 30s, was trapped in his vehicle and needed rescuing. He was rescued and conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

The man suffered multiple injuries, including bleeding from the ribs, a swollen face and neck pain. A female bus driver in her 40s was also conveyed to the hospital for multiple injuries.

The accident was apparently so severe that it left a car crushed under a truck.

A Stomp contributor Dhiren witnessed the aftermath of the accident at about 5pm. He noticed police cars at the scene.

He said:
