Sparks first flew between the pair while they cheekily engaged in steamy sex talk when New Kids On The Block boy band member Wahlberg, 43, appeared as a guest on 40-year-old McCarthy's talk show The Jenny McCarthy Show in March.
McCarthy, who has a son from a previous relationship, dated Hollywood star Jim Carrey for more than five years before the pair pulled the plug on their relationship in 2010.
Wahlberg has two sons from his marriage to ex-wife Kim Fey, whom he divorced in 2008.
