SINGAPORE - A shop in Orchard Central caught fire around 11pm on Thursday.
The New Paper received a tip-off about the blaze after a reader saw smoke coming out of a Quiksilver outlet.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force put out the fire and cordoned off the area.
Said Mr Baskaran, 36, a construction worker from a nearby site: "There was smoke coming out, a lot of people started crowding around. But it was very well managed, there wasn't any panic."
