Open For Business: Flava Bistro and Grill
The team behind the former Cafe Mondo at Orchard Central has moved to Siglap and rebranded itself. The new Flava is a contemporary Asian bistro & grill.
Light bites include Peking duck buns ($9.90) and Korean spicy mid-joint wings ($10.90). Main course offerings include spaghetti laksa ($15), tebasaki chicken burger ($15), East West beef stew ($20), salmon en croute ($23) and kampung grilled chicken ($15).
Fans of Cafe Mondo can still order the popular Chocolate Indulgence waffles ($15), OMG Lava Cake ($9) and a new range of crispy toast desserts with Kapiti ice cream from New Zealand, such as Strawberry Sweetheart.
Flava is open throughout Chinese New Year, with special dishes such as lobster and fruit salad ($18), honey and miso glazed salmon ($18.80) and five-spice roast chicken ($16.80) with baked rice, mushrooms and Chinese sausage. The restaurant is awaiting halal certification.
