Le Comptoir

This new creperie bistro is the latest addition to the restaurants and bars along Circular Road.

It offers sweet and savoury crepes, such as Cheese Ambition ($23), a savoury buckwheat crepe with Comte cheese, berry preserves and prosciutto ham, and I'm Famous ($8), a sweet wheat crepe topped with caramelised apples.

This casual 108-seat restaurant specialises in Galbi, or Korean grilled dishes. Try the Chicken Galbi ($16.90), which uses the restaurant's special spicy sauce, or the Seafood and Chicken Galbi ($48.90 for two to three pax, $58.90 for three to four pax).

Nutmeg & Clove

The bar offers a drinks menu split into four sections: Trading Post, Crown Colony, Sovereign State and Metropolis, each reflecting the different eras in Singapore's history.

No. 17 Jade Springs ($20), found in the Sovereign State section, is a light and refreshing cocktail with chrysanthemum and osmanthus-infused Tanqueray Gin.

The bar also offers bites such as Cod Fish Croquettes ($10) served with smoked cream cheese and crispy sweet-and-sour anchovies.

Ten-Ichi Udon

A new self-serve udon restaurant has opened at Shokutsu 10 in Nex shopping mall.

Diners can create their own hot, cold or beef soup udon (above), with a choice of original ($5 for hot or cold, $7.50 for beef soup) or matcha flavoured noodles (additional $1). They can select toppings such as chicken katsu or pumpkin tempura (from $1 to $3).

The restaurant also offers dishes such as chicken soup udon ($7.50) and chasoba ($6).

Besides its outlet at Cuppage Terrace, the restaurant has a new outlet at Chijmes which opened last Thursday. It offers new dishes such as broiled pressed mackerel ($15.80) and salmon belly roll sushi topped with minced salmon ($11.80).

The restaurant also sells signature dishes such as Hot Tofu ($7.80), which is served with three kinds of salt or fish stock.
