Danish craft beer bar Mikkeller has opened an outpost here, serving experimental brews by famed brewer, Mikkel Borg Bjergso. The Singapore bar is a collaboration between Mikkeller and The Drinking Partners, a craft beer and cider supplier.
On the list are 20 craft beers on tap that are regularly rotated. Sip on quirky offerings such as Beer Geek Breakfast, an oatmeal stout brewed with oats and coffee; and Spontantripelraspberry, which has sour and fruity notes and is brewed with wild yeast and aged in oak barrels.
There are also exclusive-to- Singapore beers such as Bugis Brown, which tastes of dark malts and caramel, Prinsep Pilsner, which has notes of passionfruit and lemongrass, and Waterloo Wit. Prices start at $9 for a 200ml pint.
The bar is housed in two re-purposed shipping containers, which can seat about 15 people and its outdoor space in Deck, an independent arts space, can fit about 50 people.
Where: 120A Prinsep Street
Open: 4pm to midnight, Tuesday to Sunday; closed on Monday
