In the day, expect contemporary cafe food such as Potato & Fish ($22), comprising rosti, seared sea bass, a fried egg, sauteed mushrooms and deconstructed bagna cauda dip. At night, order dishes such as Hao Da De Ji ($32), a whole roasted chicken, for sharing.

The popular P.Bistro cafe at Owen Road has opened an offshoot at Palais Renaissance.
It seats 32 now, but there are plans to expand the number to 62 by the end of next month.
It offers all the dishes available at the original Owen Road outlet as well as an All-Day Brunch menu with dishes such as Citrus Salmon Benedict ($18), home-cured citrus salmon and poached free-range eggs served with English muffins, shallots and Hollandaise sauce with chives.

Restaurateur Calvin Yeung, 52, who was behind Kiku at Duxton and the former One On The Bund at Clifford Pier, opened this new restaurant.
Lunch sets at the 66-seater start from $16+ and include the Osashimi Set, which features three kinds of assorted sashimi with sushi rice ($33+). For dinner, there is a selection of sushi, sashimi and grilled items such as A4 Wagyu ($22+).

This Japanese restaurant, whose name is Japanese for "silver river", opened last Monday and seats 70.
It features dishes by executive chef Donny Tan, 53, who was previously the executive head chef at Japanese restaurant Tenza Izakaya.
There is Kurobuta Braised Pork Don ($35), rice topped with kurobuta pork belly slices braised for eight hours then drizzled with a bonito-based sauce simmered for 10 hours. A variety of sushi, sashimi and deep-fried and grilled meats is also available.

If you are looking for another dining option in the Central Business District, head to this Japanese restaurant. The kitchen is headed by Tokyo-trained chef-owner Ken Khor, who has worked at Goodwood Park Hotel's Shima. Set lunches and dinners start at $26 and you can feast on omakase sets from $100 for lunch and $150 for dinner.
From the a la carte menu, pick from dishes such as chirashi sushi don ($68), hotate mentai yaki (grilled scallops with fish roe sauce, $22), shrimp tempura ($28) and salt-grilled fish cheek ($38).
