Virtual world launched to help upgrade skills of creative professionals

An online platform and virtual world has been set up by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) to help provide training and upgrading opportunities to those in working in the creative industries.

Information on training programmes and career opportunities are also available.

WDA also announced that freelancers in the creative industry are now entitled to a 90 per cent subsidy for training courses under the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) framework. The WSQ framework has over 100 courses offered by 14 training partners like the Singapore Institute of Architects and Singapore Media Academy.
Over 4,000 people have undergone training since it was launched in 2007.
